Chicago is one of the most beautiful cities in the United States! The magnificent skyline, beautiful parks, and stunning views along Lake Michigan provide endless photographic opportunities. Evenings in Chicago are especially magical as the sun sets and the lights of the city begin to turn on. In this workshop, we will spend the evening in the field at three different locations photographing special locations within the city!

TIME: 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

REGISTRATION: Opens Tuesday May 10th at 9:00 a.m. CST

INCLUDED: Guidance and Instruction for 6 hours. Transportation via Uber/taxi between locations.

NOT INCLUDED: Hotel, Transportation to Chicago

SKILL LEVEL: All skill levels welcome however a solid understanding of shooting in manual mode is encouraged.

ITINERARY: We will meet at the Fairmont Chicago at 5:00 p.m. with 3 locations of shooting on our agenda: Buckingham Fountain, Adler Planetarium view of the skyline at sunset, and back to the river and Michigan Avenue for some light trails.

TRANSPORTATION: Uber/Taxi will be covered as we go between locations too far to walk.

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate. We will get transportation (Uber/taxi) as necessary between locations but we will also spend time walking around.

GEAR RECOMMENDATIONS: Camera plus a range of focal lengths. Wide angle recommended as well as mid range to telephoto for zooming in closer on details. Neutral Density filters recommended for long exposures at Buckingham Fountain and on the Adler steps. 6 & 10 stop filters recommended. Tripod required for long exposure photography at all locations.

GROUP SIZE: small group of 6-8 photographers to maximize individual attention
